The realism associated with the harsh and grateful realities of life and human nature are expressed subliminally and submerged with idealism. It gives life meaning and the themes dreams and hopes explicate the meaning of life in my work.I spent my teen and adolescent years in exotic countries as well as completing my bachelors and masters programs in the UK where I majored in Fine Arts ( headstoneing), all the while yearning for Korea. I arouse always remained desirous about Korea and drawn to the spiritual art of the Orient. These passions for Korea and the spiritual art of the Orient greatly influences the work that I produce. Upon returning to Korea, I incorporated the speculative spirit of line commonly used in eastern art (linear art that frequently characterizes Oriental art) into my moving-picture show, photography and installation. Remaining true to this tradition, I also introduced into my work, condensed typic expressions which I am endeavouring to apply to medium in a variety of genres. Consistent with this approach, I have utilized experimental expressions of formative art and continue to do so. By taking this approach I have capitalized on a number of different ways to use art medium for yeasty expressions.I have a preference for stab painting over traditional application of paint to canvas. I also represent images from my memory by virtue of a combination of stab painting and insistent lines. By taking this approach I am able to reflect a repetitive cycle through the object painted.
